Description
Handmade in hand-knotted wool likely designed for the French market during the early 20th century, this antique Amritsar rug relies on beige, yellow, and blue geometric and floral patterns. These colors were rare to be included in an antique Amritsar rug, yet this antique wool Indian rug was the exception. The 2’11 x 14’3 rug features an array of different florals on its brown background, from pink-and-yellow roses to yellow-and-blue tulips that appear at the top of the antique floral Indian rug, there are plenty of details to continue to study and uncover more with each glance. A border featuring a blue background includes daisies in brown and yellow at each corner of the rug, while acorns are placed along the sides. A single gold line and red line each line the edge of this antique rug. The size of this runner creates an ideal solution for a hallway runner.
