Description
Originating from Russia between 1880-1890, this antique Karabagh runner hosts a seldom-seen variation on the Classic Both (paisley) pattern; an eastern symbol of flame and the universe. Hand-knotted in high-quality wool, Both patterns such as those crimson and black field backgrounds are rarely seen in this one-to-two column variation and typically favour one colourway over this pallet of royal blue, burgundy red, Beige/Brown, green, and vibrant orange, complemented by similar hues in the multiple tribal borders further emboldening the piece underfoot.
