Description
Originating from Russia in 1890, this antique Karabagh runner hosts an interesting, uncommon play on the Classic Boteh (paisley) pattern; an eastern symbol of flame and the universe. Hand knotted in high quality wool, Boteh patterns such as those against the black field background are rarely seen in this hypnotic, spectral variation of red, pink, blue, Beige/Brown, White/Cream, and yellow colorways like that of a rainbow, complemented by the central borders fretwork chevron pattern and wrapped with mirrored inner and guard borders for a distinguished, more joyous portrait among oriental rugs.
