On the Design: This mid-century modern rug is both the first adaptation of this artist and our unique take on 1950s style—never before seen in handmade luxury rugs. The silk’s natural sheen brings out both the lively reds and blues and the soothing beige-brown hues with movement. Ultimately the chic, meticulously drawn geometry with lively hues creates an iconic look. Exciting yet smart, particularly well suited as a large-size rug to living rooms and even maximalist interiors.
Custom Capable: Designs in this collection feature stock in alternate sizes and colors, available upon request. Further custom rugs in this and other designs available within 3-4 months upon deposit. Hand knotted in one of our most reputed long-standing partner looms in India.
About the Artist: A graduate of the University of Massachusetts representing the team at Lilla Rogers Studio, modern artist Jenn Ski has been designing and producing an impressive collection of mid-century modern style designs that drew Josh to our exciting partnership. Sharing our passion for the particular post-modern style, Jenn Ski’s collaboration with Rug & Kilim represents the first representation of her work in our medium, with some of her current works favoring the mobile and cocktail style patterns emerging in the 1950s—connoting a remarkable student of the era who proudly references her home being built by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright.
