Description
Hand knotted in Turkey originating between 1960-1970, this vintage mid-century wool runner is the latest to join our Mid-Century Pasha collection, celebrating Turkish icon and multidisciplinary designer Zeki Müren with our team’s hand picked favorites from this period. This pattern beautifully embodies two distinguishing pillars of Müren’s pioneering approaches to geometry, namely the marriage of equally subtle art deco and classic Turkish influences with a very European attitude. Likewise the unprecedented play of playful splicing of juxtaposed geometry had really never been seen in Turkey before this emerging style, entirely unique as was the pagination of rich beige brown with accenting pink and blue hues further remarking the duality of progressive and classic influences to this gorgeous rarity; further enjoying a mild, organic distress consistent with age and a versatile length for hallways and select entryways.
