Description
Mid Century and vintage Senneh originating circa 1950-1960, this 3’ x 5’ Persian Kilim rug were created in a traditional flat weave for a classic piece featuring red and cream. Three center medallions within the vintage Persian rug encase flowers yet are also surrounded by florals occupying the space outside the trio that comprises this traditional pattern. A small, center medallion features a black background with blooms in varying shades of red from more-orange shades to deep wine, with pops of blue and teal as the flowers’ pistils. The middle medallion was created on a red background, with cream blooms that feature leaves in black, deep red, and orange, along with teal accents. An outer medallion relies on a cream background that features flowers comprising teal pistils, red-orange petals, with leaves comprising this selection of colors. Bordered by a geometric pattern, the outer medallion is nestled by flowers within the space at the four corners of the piece. This flat-weave vintage kilim features a flower border along the entire outside edge, framed by a connected, red-ball pattern along each side. The medallion pattern and rich color scheme of this piece are ideal for a small study or reading nook.
